Another Teen Faces First-Degree Murder Charge in East Toronto Stabbing
A second 16-year-old boy has been charged with first degree murder in the stabbing death of a 14-year-old that occurred last weekend in Toronto.
Police say the teen voluntarily turned himself in to investigators on Friday, just four days after another 16-year-old suspect contacted police about the same incident.
The fatal stabbing happened near a McDonald’s restaurant in Toronto’s east end on Saturday, during a time when hundreds of people were gathered nearby for a concert. Witnesses reportedly flagged down paramedics after finding the injured boy.
Emergency crews responded swiftly and transported the victim to the hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.
