Driver Plows Car Into Crowd in Los Angeles

Driver plows car into crowd in Los Angeles after leaving club, at least seven critically hurt

Early Saturday, a concerning event occurred driver plows car into crowd in Los Angeles, injuring more than 30 people near a music venue in East Hollywood, according to fire officials.

The vehicle veered onto the sidewalk around 2 a.m. at North Vermont Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, hitting a taco cart and striking a large group of people gathered outside the Vermont Hollywood club.

The crowd had just exited after a night of reggaeton and hip-hop performances. Seven victims are in critical condition, with six more seriously hurt. In total, 23 people were transported to hospitals.

Bystanders pulled the driver from the vehicle and began attacking him before officers intervened. Authorities said the driver had a gunshot wound and is currently hospitalized. His condition has not been disclosed.

Police are investigating the cause and whether the crash was intentional. They are also searching for the individual who shot the driver.
