Google is providing support to Los Angeles small businesses following the January wildfires.
Small and medium-sized businesses are a key part of Los Angeles’ economy, and many have faced significant setbacks due to the fires. Google is contributing more than $4.5 million through the Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity and TMC Community Capital to help these businesses recover.
The recovery initiative focuses on building stronger foundations rather than simply restoring what was lost. As part of the effort, Google hosted the Rebuild LA: Small Business Tech Fair with the LA County Department of Economic Opportunity and TMC Community Capital. The event offered entrepreneurs AI tools and digital training to help them reconnect with customers, modernize their operations, and prepare for future challenges.
This funding is part of a broader $15 million commitment from Google, YouTube, and Google.org to organizations providing relief across the greater Los Angeles area. The company has previously supported local communities including students, educators, and most recently, the creative sector.
