
Malcolm Jamal Warner drowned while on a family trip, confirms APHURA
Malcolm Jamal Warner, best known as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, tragically drowned at age 54 while on vacation in Costa Rica. Multiple sources have confirmed the new, including People and TMZ.
The actor’s death was first mentioned by TMZ and later confirmed by a People insider. Warner was in the water on a family outing when the accident occurred, though no official cause has been released.
Warner became a household name in the 1980s for playing Theo from 1984 to 1992, earning an Emmy nomination in 1986. He also starred in Malcolm & Eddie and Reed Between the Lines, narrated The Magic School Bus, and won a 2015 Grammy. His career spanned more than four decades as an actor, producer, musician, and director.
He’s survived by his wife and daughter. Tributes are pouring in, describing Warner’s influence on TV, music, and Black representation.
