Shooting Las Vegas Strip Near Tourist Area Send Shockwaves
Las Vegas Metro Police were called to the heart of the Strip late Saturday night after a shooting erupted near one of the city’s busiest attractions, close to the Bellagio Fountains the LINQ Promenade.
Reports indicate that gunfire was heard shortly after 9:15PM, just as crowds gathered for nightly shows and street performances.
“There was a loud pop, then people running in every direction,” said one tourist visiting from Texas.
Law enforcement responded within minutes, placing the surrounding area under temporary lockdown and redirecting foot traffic away from Las Vegas Boulvard.
Suspect Detained, Victims in Stable Condition
According to Fox News, one suspect has been taken into custody at the scene, and two people were hospitalized, both with non life-threatening injuries.

Strip Temporarily Closed, Casinos Respond
Police established a security perimeter stretching from Planet Hollywood to Caesars Palace, halting all vehicle and pedestrian movement along the central corridor.
Hotels activated emergency security protocols, and Bellagio’s fountain show was paused for the remainder of the evening.
“Our priority is guest safety,” said a spokesperson for MGM Resorts.
Officials Urge Calm, Investigation Ongoing
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman issued a statement late Saturday night:
“This violence does not represent who we are as a city. We thank our police and first responders for their rapid action.”
